For Gaza Project is honored to work in collaboration with Dr. Rami and his clinical team in the North of Gaza. A veteran and senior physician who grew up and gained his doctoral training throughout Gaza, Rami leads the For Gaza Project North Field Clinic as a highly skilled and dynamic physician who has served his people with the utmost care, dignity, and respect in multiple hospitals and clinics throughout Gaza.
In addition to working as a physician with the Turkish Palestinian Friendship Hospital and European Hospital over the past decade, Dr. Aqel served as a lead treatment and care coordinator in Gaza during the COVID-19 outbreak, and has served as a UNICEF lead physician in administering vaccinations to children. His specializations in Emergency, Oncology, Trauma Surgery, and Pediatric Care enable him to treat a wide variety of trauma wounds, illnesses, diseases, and surgical needs.

Much of Rami's work with his colleagues this past year has centered around the care and treatment of the displaced and child orphan community in Khan Younis. While in the South of Gaza, Dr. Rami moved between treating patients with his colleagues in a free community clinic, and serving as a physician in the European Hospital.
After the Netzarim Corridor was briefly opened between the North and South in January 2025, Rami relocated with his family back to his destroyed home in the North, and is now working to establish a community field clinic for his village, where nearly all medical care infrastructure has been destroyed by the occupation.
In collaboration with a newly established team consisting of 2 other healthcare providers--a doctor and nurse-- Rami and his colleagues are working tirelessly to serve the injured and ill with extremely minimal supplies. His team intends to grow over the next 2 months to 7 healthcare providers, and together, they will work to create a field clinic that will serve as the healthcare hub for their community.

From Rami:
My name is Rami, and I am a 34 year old Palestinian doctor who has been serving my people in Gaza for the last 15 years.
I am asking for your ongoing support to fund and maintain an emergency medical field clinic that my colleagues and I are working to establish near my home in the North of Gaza.
The North is in dire need of support and care, and my surrounding community has extremely limited access to medical care and supplies. Our goal is to provide treatment, medication, and ongoing care free of charge to anyone who requires our services, and to serve as a point of access for those who need medical care and treatment. We additionally will continue to provide in-person visits to those who have been forcibly displaced, and will provide care and resources to orphans as our resources allow.
We currently are in dire need of the necessities to provide medical care to the sick and wounded, and seek to gather enough funding to build a field clinic where we can appropriately treat our patients.
By offering your donation, no matter how small, you will enable my team and I to treat those who are in need of both emergency and ongoing care.
Current weekly budget required to provide care to 20-40 patients a day: $2,000
For less than $260 a day, we can provide consistent care to those in dire need of medical treatment and support.
