About
Friends of Withywood Park is a resident lead local community group created to encourage the local residents and community to use, engage and come together as a community in Withywood Park and take custodianship of the park to help maintain, develop, improve and preserve the local park for the current & future local residents, children, community, and wild life.
Friends of Withywood Park is a resident lead community group that utilises the asset of the Withywood Park Community Pod and Withywood Park to help bring together local residents, children, local community, community groups, organisations and charities to optimise community grass root opportunities, out reach engagement, community integration, green social prescribing programs and support networks within the community to create maximum impact within the community using the Withywood Community Pod and Withywood Park as a Community Hub.
Friends of Withywood Park also liaises and works with Bristol City Council, Bristol City Council Parks Department, Your Park, Roots to Wellbeing, Walks for Carers, Avon Wildlife Trust, Bristol & Avon River Trust (BART), Hartcliffe BMX Track, Campus Pool, Hartcliffe Club for Young People (HCYP), Grass Roots, Learning Partnership West (LPW), Withywood Community Centre, Hartcliffe & Withywood Community Project (HWCP), Hartcliffe & Withywood Community Development Project/ Programme, Heart of BS13, Pollinator Fund, Buglife, B-lines, 1 Tree for Every Child, Space Makers, Friends of Willmott Park, Hartcliffe Friends of Valley Walk, Witchurch Wombles, Bristol Amblers, and Brave Bold Drama to support and create an engaging safe space for the local community, children and each organisation to optimise the park and pods, it's facilities and each organisations services and support for the local children, residents, community and Wildlife.
