About
For schools to do what’s best for students, teachers must feel individually and collectively empowered to co-create their classrooms, schools, and educational systems.
For schools to do what’s best for teachers, and to reverse the flood of burned-out educators leaving the profession, teachers must have shared power to establish norms, values, and working conditions.
For schools to do what’s best for democracy (and its aspirational expressions of justice, equity, and freedom), teachers must be able to live in and work through the messy but transformative experiences of self-determination and collaborative decision-making.
This is why our co-op matters, and why we hope you will support us in this work.
