To upgrade the Groupmuse platform to better serve and empower musicians to organize hyperlocal concerts
About
For nearly a decade the Groupmuse platform has served as a grassroots concert hub for a community of over 6,000 musicians, facilitating over 7,000 concerts and cultivating a community of 150,000+ participants across the US and abroad.
Much has evolved technologically online since Groupmuse's inception, and in order to take advantage of these changes and innovations it is time for a complete platform upgrade, improving both UX and UI in order to create a more efficient, user friendly and beautiful experience that renews and reflects our values and ideals, so we may continue to effectively serve our musicians and community well into the future.

Platform Upgrade Components
- UX (User Experience)
- Improve functionality of event calendar and registration flow
- Increase customizability of event formats and settings
- Expand payment options and integrations
- Create more sophisticated social media tools for users (enhanced profiles for musicians, hosts and audience members, searchable musician database, messaging options)
- Improve communication/marketing through upgraded notifications/announcements and email campaign tools
- UI (User Interface)
- Completely redesign and rebrand look and feel of platform to better represent our work and values, which now extend beyond classical music to embrace all musical traditions of the world
- Improve the appearance and presentation of platform to create a more beautiful, intuitive and meaningful user experience
- Improve layout/design of calendar and event pages to more effectively engage/inspire users to regularly visit the website and attend events
