About
The HopeHub Initiative, which aims to provide coworking spaces equipped with essential resources such as electricity, internet connectivity, networking opportunities, and a conducive work environment. This initiative is particularly focused on supporting the people in Gaza who have been affected by the war on Gaza and have been relocated to various places. We aim to enhance our capacity to help individuals regain a sense of normalcy and continue their professional and personal development.
Challenge
As a direct result of the ongoing war in Gaza Strip, the existing infrastructure in Gaza Strip has been decimated, destroying the local economy in Gaza Strip, intensifying the dependence on international aid, increasing the already existing unemployment rates, putting survivors lives at risk to famine and diseases. The HopeHubs initiative was born out of a desire to support individuals in Gaza during times of war, allowing them to develop professional and continue their freelance/remote work.

Solution
By providing a stable and supportive environment for displaced individuals, offering them the opportunity to continue their work, receive training, and access the resources needed to rebuild their lives during these challenging times. ACT started the initiative with an idea to assist remote workers in the Gaza Strip in returning to work by creating a workspace using available materials. Starting with a simple tent, it eventually evolved into Hopehubs in Rafah, Deir-al-balah, and Cairo, Egypt.
