About

jms/serializer allows you to (de-)serialize data of any complexity. Currently, it supports XML and JSON. It also provides you with a rich tool-set to adapt the output to your specific needs.

You'll be helping jms/serializer (and jms/serializer-bundle for Symfony) maintainers to manage a project with almost 15.000 downloads/day.

The funds are generally intended to be used to:

  • Support maintainers: the two core team members contribute in their spare time, and being able to focus on work would go well with less burnout and a sustainable future for the project as a whole.
  • Run the documentation website covering costs for hosting and maintenance

jms/serializer is a fundamental building block for the PHP community with almost 2000 open source projects depending on it. T he number of private projects depending on it are difficult to estimate, but having past 20 million downloads in total we suppose that a very big number of projects are using it.
