Work start on Joda-Time in 2000 and has continued ever since, becoming one of the most widely used projects in Java. Using the knowledge gained, I then worked on the java.time.* package which arrived in Java SE 8. Other projects now exist - Joda-Beans, Joda-Convert and Joda-Money, as well as the related ThreeTen-Extra and ThreeTen-Backport. Donations will help me maintain the Joda projects for the next 20 years! Thanks.
