About

Love North Southwark is a community-based organisation that sprang up in response to the hardship created by the Coronovirus Pandemic in 2020. Our mission is to bring food security to those in need in Southwark. We started off by providing meals and food parcels to the elderly and shielding. This has now extended to anyone who is struggling to get by, including young families, victims of domestic violence and those living in sheltered accommodation.

In 2021, our founder Kathy Heather started a Food Pantry. The pantry now operates out of Cherry Garden Hall on Jamaica Road on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 11am to 1pm. The pantry aims to remove stigma from food poverty and restore dignity to those who need a little help to get by. 

If you can help make a financial contribution to our mission, we assure you that it will be well spent supporting the most needy in our community. 

Please note that we are not a grant giving organisation and cannot make any financial or cash grants to individuals or households.
