Aiming to contribute to introductory programming education in areas not directly linked to software engineering, this collective dialogues with a set of pedagogical approaches, teaching practices, and creative coding tools for teaching programming, aimed at diverse audiences, especially people who like working with visual artifacts.

We investigate approaches to improve programming education through the adoption of strategies and teaching materials centered on visual results. The materials produced, mostly related to the py5, Processing + Python creative coding framework developed at https://github.com/py5coding, have been used in different settings, like Python courses for graduate and undergraduate architecture and urbanism students or free courses and workshops at the Sesc community centers in São Paulo.
