Mainline is an independent digital magazine based in Atlanta, Ga. It was founded in 2019 and has provided alternative news and cultural coverage of local music, activism, and politics. The outlet has become known as a primary and vital source of news coverage of the ongoing #StopCopCity movement—a widespread coalition in Atlanta that seeks to stop the Atlanta Police Foundation's plans to build a militarized police training facility in the Weelaunee (South River) Forest.
Mainline is currently on a publishing hiatus as it focuses on development and obtaining monetary resources to rebuild a sustainable independent news and cultural outlet. The publishing hiatus began in early 2022, and the outlet's return is dependent on future funding.
