About

Mila Devenport (MHC '13) is the founder and Chief Education Officer of Kigumi Group, a social enterprise based out of Hong Kong that creates curricula around AI ethics, digital well-being, and cyber resilience for kids, parents, and teachers.

Mila will be running a private, in-person 1-hour workshop in Alameda (location will be disclosed upon registration) on Sunday, March 30, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, with time before and after the workshop to meet and chat with other attendees. This event is open to 7 Sister alums and 7 Sisters-affiliated individuals, including staff, family members, and friends of alums. We encourage professionals and employers to also join, even if they are not parents themselves, as they will gain an understanding of how this topic shapes Gen Z and Gen A employees' experiences. Light refreshments will be provided, courtesy of Ann Blake (MHC '85).

What we'll cover:
  • Key findings from Kigumi's work with schools and 1,000+ individuals over the last 4 years that are relevant for parents and employers who want to grow resilient, social-emotionally regulated digital natives
  • How to begin preparing (as parents and employers) for the increasing diversification of cyber risks, concerns, and conflicts amongst Gen Z and Gen A generations
  • Sneak peek into Kigumi's curricula on human intelligences
  • Considerations on how to support the digital well-being, mental health and social emotional learning (SEL) needs of the generation of children who experienced COVID lockdowns during formative years and display specific SEL needs in relation to technology.

Mila and other members of the Kigumi team will be available before and after the event to engage potential partners and investors. If you have a school, youth organisation or other group of students or teachers you'd like to help on this topic or have an interest in early access for your family and school, please email [email protected] to set up an in-person or virtual coffee.

Please register using an email you regularly check and include your name for our records. You will automatically receive a ticket confirmation with additional information upon registration — keep an eye out for another email with location details once your 7 Sisters-affiliation has been confirmed.
