About
For Admitted Students
Our warmest congratulations to all of the new Green Griffins (MHC class of 2029)! The members of the Mount Holyoke Clubs of Northern California and the Peninsula are excited to welcome you to the vibrant community that awaits you in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Join us in San Francisco (address sent upon RSVP) on Saturday, April 5, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM to connect with alums and other newly accepted students from the SF Bay Area and beyond.
At this event, you'll be able to learn about the school’s many traditions (including Pangy Day, the springtime celebration after which this event is named), to connect with your potential future classmates, and to ask alums and other MHC community members any questions you have. We can't wait to meet you, share our experiences and advice, and otherwise support you as you take this next step in your academic journey. We hope you'll enjoy your years at MHC as much as we did!
For Alums
This event is a collaboration between the MHC NorCal Club, MHC Pen Club, and our AAR(s); it's our take on the school's springtime tradition, where we’ll congratulate admitted students and welcome them to the MHC community. (Maypole not included.)
All NorCal and Peninsula alums are invited to celebrate spring and show the newest admits the strength and vibrancy of the MHC community. Recent alums are particularly encouraged to attend and share their experiences and advice, but all alums are welcome!
Logistics & Location Notes
Many thanks to Liz K. for hosting at her home and providing us with light refreshments. Address and additional details will be emailed upon registration. Please contact us if you're interested in carpooling; while we can't guarantee a ride, we may be able to help connect you with others coming from the same area.
Parking, transit, and accessibility notes: Liz notes that "there is usually decent street parking--especially on the weekend--and a bus stop (for the 38 Geary) within walking distance (about a minute). We have a long driveway on the south side of our house, so if the first few cars pull in we should be able to fit at least 3-4 cars." Attendees will need to go up 10 stairs. Please keep in mind that the below map preview is a general approximation of the event location, as this event is being hosted at a private residence.
Please check your ticket confirmation email, this event description, and our FAQ before reaching out with questions! If you can't find an answer in any of those places or you have a follow-up question, please get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you, and we appreciate your understanding that the Club is an all-volunteer organization with capacity limited by the personal availability of the Board member(s) monitoring our accounts.
