Huge thank you to everyone for supporting the #NewhamNeighbours campaign. By telling your friends and neighbours about Newham Solidarity Fund, and sharing why you support the fund, our monthly recurring contributions increased from £915/month to £1,032/month! That means that each month we can now distribute amounts of £50 to 20 neighbours who need it.
So what are the next steps?
Demand for the fund has surged the last couple of months to over 60 applications a month, and we no longer have enough funds to approve all applications. This means we’re now looking for volunteers to help us run the fund and raise more money and awareness. We’ve identified 3 key areas: admin, communications, and fundraising.
