This project is a bold step toward peacebuilding rooted in the powerful integration of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Sociocracy. We aim to build a world where empathy, collaboration, and shared leadership drive meaningful change.
We create a dynamic and supportive space where CNVC certification candidates can gain real-world experience and become certified trainers. In doing so, they actively build communities grounded in connection, equity, and trust.
Our approach blends two transformative frameworks:
- Nonviolent Communication (NVC) nurtures deep self-awareness and compassionate connection with others.
- Sociocracy empowers inclusive decision-making and team synergy through shared power and accountability.
NVC and Sociocracy help us move from hierarchy to partnership, isolation to belonging, and silence to constructive feedback. This integration fuels a living culture of learning, growth, and co-creation, where every voice matters and every contribution strengthens the whole. This is more than a training space. It moves toward a more connected, collaborative, and peaceful world.
Our Vision
A thriving Africa where Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Sociocracy are widely known, embraced, and practised as essential pathways to peace, conflict transformation, and a deep awareness of our shared humanity and interdependence. We envision communities, organisations, and leaders across the continent co-creating a future grounded in empathy, equity, and collaborative decision-making where dialogue replaces division, and connection drives change.
Our Mission
To showcase and amplify NVC and Sociocracy projects across Africa, sparking inspiration, mutual learning, and a shared purpose. We aim to attract funding that supports ongoing training within these projects. We also offer transformative learning opportunities to individuals not yet involved, expanding access to these powerful tools for peacebuilding, collaboration, and social change.
Our Objective
Supporting NVC certification candidates and certified trainers across Africa by sharing their stories, amplifying their impact, and attracting donations that nurture their work and the communities they serve.
Through this platform, we:
- Celebrate and elevate NVC practitioners by making their peacebuilding efforts visible and valued.
- Provide training in collaborative leadership, focusing on Sociocracy, to strengthen teamwork, build healthy organisations, and cultivate a culture of feedback and continuous learning.
- Prioritise grassroots projects that bring NVC into schools, educational institutions, refugee camps, and to marginalised groups such as homeless children and caregivers.
- Empower our members with the skills and tools to apply for larger grants, ensuring long-term sustainability and more profound community impact.
To create a vibrant, interconnected network of changemakers using NVC and Sociocracy to build a more compassionate, inclusive, and peaceful Africa.
