About
Remember a game you enjoyed back in 2000s? The one with fast-paced skill-based multiplayer, complex spell combinations, smart tricks and the campaign that felt like a living world?
We are talking about a great game called Nox, of course, developed by talented team of Westwood Studios. Unfortunately it was discontinued. But the community is there, up to this day!
OpenNox is a free implementation of the Nox game engine, extended with modern features. It is capable of running the same multiplayer battles, as well as the original campaign ( Win 7+ and Linux)!
You must own a copy of Nox (GoG/Origin/CD), to play it!
The project is an effort by community members, just like you, and thus needs your support to keep it going! We have a clear goal, and we already successfully achieved a number of milestones.
High-level project goals are:
☑️ Compatibility: accept original Nox game data.
⚙️ Modern: seamless multiplayer, high-res support, modding, etc.
⚙️ Unique: create new (free) HD game assets, new campaign.
☑️ Open: keep the code and progress open and transparent.
⚙️ Support Nox-related efforts: dedicated servers, tournaments, etc.
By becoming the supporter, you will help fund the project directly, as well as get additional exclusive perks! Let's build the feature of Nox together!
