About
OpenSID is a web based village information system, whose development is driven directly by the needs of village users in Indonesia. It has been installed by more than 10,000 villages and is used actively by more than 4,600 villages. We are targeting another 50,000 villages. We need your support for ongoing development to add features and improve ease of use by low tech users.
OpenSID is the only open source, community driven and community developed village information system in Indonesia. It is a highly important alternative to commercial and institutional systems that do not fully cater to the interests of the villages themselves.
Our mission is to develop OpenSID into the premier village information system to accelerate the improvement of public services, transparency and accountability of Indonesian village administrations.
