Open Source Collective is looking for a thoughtful, strategic problem-solver who brings empathy to systems thinking and process improvement.
As our Senior Operations Manager, you'll lead across three core operational pillars: Finances, Support, and Operational Efficiency. This is a proactive, senior individual contributor role ideal for someone who thrives in a remote, asynchronous work environment and enjoys streamlining systems, supporting communities, and financial sustainability. You don’t need to be an expert in both open source or nonprofits, but it helps if you have experience in either and are excited to support a global network of projects doing meaningful work.
The ideal candidate is familiar with our work, our mission, and can demonstrate our values in their own work.

This role is advertised as a full-time, remote position based within 5 hours of the EST timezone. Compensation will be between $95,000 – $120,000 USD annually, plus benefits, contingent on experience.

The Operations Manager is a key pillar in managing and developing the organization, and it certainly requires a leader with extensive experience in the job market.
I suggest and recommend a highly qualified and experienced leader with a demonstrated history of working with a university degree or more. You'll be lucky if they're still available for work.
