.NET10 and other stuffs

.NET10 is coming to Revit 2027 and most probably for all supported versions later. We need to switch, we must prepare for that. Tried already! Did not work. But no worries, it is in the pipes. And we the previous .net8 migration experience,...

About

pyRevitLabs is the collective behind pyRevit
A group of dedicated volunteers committed to offering top-tier tools and frameworks for Revit users. Our goal is to expand the community and encourage more people to explore pyRevit, empowering them to take charge of their design tools and unlock greater possibilities.

We aim to use Open Collective as a platform to gather contributions and potentially compensate or employ developers to enhance our code base. We have numerous ideas waiting to be implemented but limited time to devote to pyRevit. With your support, we could bring on someone to assist us more consistently.

pyRevit helps you quickly sketch out your automation and addon ideas, in whichever language that you are most comfortable with, inside the Revit environment and using its APIs. It also ships with an extensive set of powerful tools that showcase its capabilities as a development environment. Download and install pyRevit, launch Revit, and note the new pyRevit tab that includes these tools. pyRevit also ships with a handy CLI utility for customized configuration and deployment of your tools, and a telemetry server to monitor pyRevit usage across your teams.

pyRevit can help you

  • Add a powerful set of free tools to your Revit workflows.
  • Sketch out your automation ideas quickly in python
  • Write your own Revit addons for Revit using python (IronPython or CPython), C#, VB.Net
  • Distribute your tools (pyRevit, Dynamo, or Grasshopper) easily to your teams using a unified interface
  • Share your tools with the community
