2023 Update + Extra Support Resources
Published on January 16, 2023 by Alex

Dear neighbours,

We wanted to bring you up to speed with how things are going with the SE15 Community Fund as it has been a while since we sent out an update.

As of January 10th, the fund has redistributed over £53,000 to neighbours in SE15, and over 150 different people and organisations have expensed and contributed to the fund. A big thank you to everyone who has spread the word to neighbours in need of financial support, or to local businesses and those able to contribute - you have all helped keep the fund going for close to 3 years now.

As you have probably seen, there has recently been a big queue for grants because of high demand. We are working hard on fundraising opportunities at the moment to help us clear the waiting list and be able to pay grants more quickly.

For now we wanted to share a list of some other organisations and resources in the nearby area that might be helpful for things such as grants, food, and leisure. We cannot guarantee that you’ll be able to receive support from them as they are separate organisations to us.

Here are some other grants you may be able to access:
Apps/websites with discounted or free food:
Repair broken electricals / fixing clothes / household goods:
Southwark Council have also put together a useful guide which covers many different avenues you may be able to access. You can visit their website here: https://www.southwark.gov.uk/benefits-and-support/cost-of-living-support

We hope that some of these are helpful - if you have any more suggestions please leave a comment below or email us at [email protected]

Wishing you all a very happy new year and all the best for 2023,
SE15 Community Fund admins
