The Fund is running low - temporary measures and how you can help
Published on October 5, 2021 by Becky Seale
Hello everyone
I hope you are doing well.
I hope you are doing well.
As you may already be aware, the Community Fund is running low on money at the moment. Unless something changes, this means that we most likely won’t be able to meet the demand for funds this month.
We are continuing to pay out requests in the order we receive them whenever sufficient neighbour contributions come in - a MASSIVE thank you to General Store for yesterday’s generous boost - however it may be that people have to wait longer than usual to receive funds.
In order to manage any delays we have decided that
- For those who miss out this month we will prioritise your application in November
- For those who receive a grant in October, you may need to wait until at least December to successfully apply again
We felt this was the fairest way to ensure everyone can continue to receive grants from the fund.
Want to help us boost the Fund? Ask a neighbour to contribute. At the moment we currently receive around £900 in monthly contributions, and pay out around £1800. If every contributor encourages just one neighbour or local business to contribute the same amount as them, we will have enough cash to fulfill our monthly demand. Even better, this will make the Fund sustainable for the future.
