Trans Tea Time

Trans Tea Time started nearly 3 years ago, a project born out of Dalston Solidarity Café. As trans comrades, we felt isolated and unsure where to turn with our transition and knew we weren't the only ones!

Subsequently, we began to run monthly support spaces for trans people to come, hang out and share resources or guidance on transition-related questions. It's a no-judgement space full of people with varied experiences, ranging from initial questions about starting transition to people who have been navigating transition for over a decade. For some, it is the first time they have met another trans person! Trans Tea Time is also a place to socialise and be around other people who understand us in a world that can too often be hostile. As the name suggests, you are more than welcome to just come along for a cup of tea and a chat!

We have also hosted two pre-Trans Pride breakfasts to make sure everyone going to the demo has a full stomach and a group of people to go along with! We opened this donation pot because as we grow, we want to put on more fun community events like these breakfasts. So, if you have a few quid spare and would like to support our work, we would be very grateful!
