About

Who are we? 
 
We are a mutual aid pod inclusive of Black folks and POC based on Duwamish Territory (Seattle). This continued fund has supported housing, healthcare costs, groceries, masks, and more for folks without direct and ample access to wealth since July 2020. We prioritize our Black trans members who are artists, creators, and more. 
 
We are committed to:
1. wealth redistribution;
2. reparations; and
3. community-centric fundraising

As of April 2022, we have re-distributed $43,000, a huge feat for a small group like us. This is also why we are here, on Open Collective, to foster transparency and fiscal sponsorship.
 
70% of our funds have come from our own members - we are asking our community to help make this sustainable for the future by supporting us. 
 
Currently, we distribute $2000 every month. Our ideal, for security and comfort, is $3500-$4000. We empty the pot every month, which means we do not keep any funds laying around. We distribute as much as possible to the folks we are supporting.
