About

Since moving to the city in 2013, I've been amazed by the number of talks, debates and other interesting events in Liverpool.

The problem was there seemed to be a hundred different places to look, and I kept hearing about things after they'd already happened.

I started Thinking Liverpool to make it easier to find out about events and to bring together curious people from different walks of life.

Trawling for events costs money

Every week, my dedicated assistant Jenny trawls over 30 websites looking for interesting events which she inputs into the website.

Jenny is a freelancer based in Manila, and she's the only reason Thinking Liverpool is still going after all these years.

It's time to spread the cost

I pay Jenny a fair rate that we're both happy with, and over the years I've spent well over £1,000 of my own money keeping Thinking Liverpool going.

The time has come to think of the future. If you like what we're doing, please consider making a small annual contribution.

If only half the newsletter subscribers donated just £5 per year then Thinking Liverpool would be break even. That's my immediate target. If we can make a bit more, I've got some ideas for doing a bit more too.
