About
An Ubuntu conference (UbuCon) is a volunteer run, regional event that enables the global community of Ubuntu teams, users, and organizations to come together to work on current challenges, share knowledge, and network within the Ubuntu project. Ubuntu conferences occur across the globe.
Join us in-person for UbuCon North America to engage with the Ubuntu community and contribute to the continued development of Ubuntu and our associated free software initiatives.
UbuCon North America showcases the versatility of Ubuntu in desktop, server, cloud, mobile, internet of things and more, while also providing an opportunity for both veteran and novice users to contribute to the discussion. The conference also offers the opportunity to introduce industry professionals and hobbyists to the world of Ubuntu, latest developments in the ecosystem, and opportunities for contribution. Ubuntu conferences bring together an intelligent, diverse group of individuals that are dedicated to the furthering development and adoption of free and open source software.
UbuCon is 100% volunteer. Join us! Check out our updates or come to one our friendly weekly web meetings (Wednesdays 6pm ET). We need your help!
Sponsors of UbuCon North America have the ability to meaningfully engage both the Ubuntu project and community. Your organization will also provide the crucial financial support for these events, and will show your commitment to the further development of free and open source software.
Come to UbuCon. Free Software events in the Midwest are rare. Come to a community-based event that is close and affordable!
