About

UUV is a user-centered end-to-end (E2E) testing framework that puts digital accessibility at the core of web development. Built in JavaScript and designed to work across modern CI environments, UUV makes it easy to integrate accessibility checks directly into functional testing flows. Unlike traditional tooling that treats accessibility as an afterthought, UUV embeds it into the architecture of testing itself — empowering developers, testers, and non-technical stakeholders to collaborate around shared, inclusive quality metrics.

Features:

  • JavaScript/TypeScript libraries available via npm
  • IDE plugins: JetBrains & VS Code
  • CI/CD integration: GitLab, GitHub
  • Readable test reports: accessible to non-technical profiles

Benefits:

  • Clearly express usage scenarios that everyone can understand
  • Test across multiple browsers and devices (web, mobile, etc.)
  • Validate syntax without losing the user perspective
  • Ensure compliance with digital accessibility standards
  • Monitor accessibility across an entire application ecosystem

Why it matters?

  • Inclusive by design. Accessible software benefits everyone: users with permanent disabilities, people in temporary situations (a broken arm), and those facing situational constraints (bad lighting, low bandwidth).
  • Barrier‑free collaboration. UUV bridges technical and non‑technical worlds, turning accessibility into a shared responsibility rather than a siloed afterthought.
  • Militant optimism. We see accessibility not as paperwork but as a civil‑rights issue; our code base is a vehicle for social change.
