About
Wandering.Shop is a Mastodon instance initially established in 2017. Its aim is to foster community, communication, and creative development. It was founded to create a year-round virtual "convention" for Sci-Fi and Fantasy writers and fans who would meet periodically at real-world events. The intended vibe of the Wandering.Shop instance is that of a good, welcoming coffee shop at a busy public convention, full of writers, fans, and intrigued passers-by, filling tables to enjoy the company and converse on all topics of interest. Our membership is open to all, and registration is only nominally gatekept by a friendly invitation process, for technical reasons of controlling surges in interest and registration.
