About
Following the success of last year's Free Film Festival, this year's will be kicking off in October 2025. It will take place across five locations in West Norwood and Herne Hill. The festival’s primary aim is to engage the local community with the historic and ongoing struggle of the Palestinian people, particularly in light of the continuing genocide. Through this series of films, we hope to deepen people’s understanding of the scale and severity of the situation and raise awareness throughout West Norwood and beyond.
Each evening will feature a screening of carefully selected film(s), followed by a Q&A session with directors, producers, or members of the West Norwood 4 Palestine team. There will also be time to socialise, exchange ideas, and build connections within the community.
We want to keep this festival free so financial restrictions do not prevent people from being able to attend, but there are large costs involved, such as venue hire, film licence fees and promotion. In order to do this, we need help from YOU! Last year we received sponsorship from local businesses and many kind donations from supporters and attendees. If you would like to contribute to West Norwood 4 Palestine's 2nd Free Film Festival, you can donate any amount you like below, under Contribute.
Tickets for the screenings will be free (donations encouraged). Last year we raised over £2300 for The Middle East's Children's Alliance (MECA). This year, any profits after all costs have been covered, will be split between our chosen organisations supporting Palestinians (guided by the artists involved) and West Norwood 4 Palestine.
