Hi! This is Beyond Trees. Strange name for a tree planting initiative, isn’t it? What do we mean and why are we looking “beyond”?
All our projects are inspired by this simple statement: our inner world and the external one are interconnected. For this reason, planting trees will never be enough if we don’t take action to heighten awareness of ourselves, the people around us and the environment we live in.
How could we harm the environment if we were truly aware of its role in our lives? We are sure we would not. Research by Daniel Goleman et al, The New Leaders 2002, shows that truly self-aware people would make more strategic and rational decisions, have higher emotional intelligence and their actions would not be short-sighted. They would therefore be more likely to understand the reciprocal relationship between themselves and the place they live in.
That’s why we don’t just help create more green spaces: we help communities gather and provide tools to enhance self-awareness, promoting global vision, emotional growth and care for human well-being. Our trees are a symbol of our commitment to improve, creating beauty and balance both within and outside ourselves.

HUMAN FORESTS - A new paradigm through nature
Human beings are like triangles, and their sides are instinct, emotions and thoughts. To create a harmonious figure, these sides must be equal. Ancient philosophies used this image thousands of years ago. Today, contemporary science has confirmed its truth, revealing the inextricable connection between body, heart and mind: these dimensions, as distant as they may seem, are interdependent and a global wellbeing lies in their balanced development. The Human Forest design is modeled by applying this idea to space.
Three sections, each dedicated to the fundamental dimensions of human existence and capable of making them resonate on frequencies oriented towards rootedness, relaxation and peace. This effect is produced by the plant varieties housed and the careful planning of the space. An urban garden open to all, the enveloping scent of flowers, the carefully selected tones of the foliage gently nourish the body and promote neurophysiological conditions to soothe emotions. Trees and herbs tell their stories by nourishing the mind and stimulating curiosity.
The Human Forest is therefore not a simple green frame for everyday life, but a living space, which dialogues and enlivens the visitor, showing him the possibility of harmonious and global development. But not only this! The language of plants, capable of secretly dialoguing and supporting each other, contains an even more powerful message: the possibility of a paradigm shift for humanity, for an evolution that is no longer the result of competition but the fruit of cooperation.

Examples of completed projects:
Roha, Maharashtra state, India: communities in rural parts of India often suffer from poverty and malnutrition. Our partners, Kindness Unlimited, have chosen an unconventional approach. By giving households native fruit trees to nurture and grow, they empower local women and children and show them that they can take control over their own lives and livelihoods. Trees planted: 3,265 and more to be planted soon. SDGs supported: 1, 2, 15, 17.
The Grove, Watford, Hertfordshire county, UK: through experience, something abstract becomes reality. By running planting days for businesses and volunteers, this urban tree planting project aims to bring the community together, and show people of all ages how a simple action, like planting a tree, can help make their local environment a more enriching place to live. Trees planted: 1,000 and more to be planted soon. SDGs supported: 3, 11, 13, 15.
Regents Park, London, UK: thanks to the collaboration with David Attenborough’s The Conservation Volunteers, we had the privilege of planting eight mature trees in Regent's Park, one of the six Royal Parks in London. The day of planting took place under strict health and safety measures during Covid, and the trees were planted in memory of those who passed away during the pandemic. Trees planted: 8 eight-feet tall mature trees. SDGs supported: 3, 11, 15.

For businesses, we have a portfolio of selected projects that you may choose to support in line with your ESG objectives. This may be in the form of a one-off donation or a custom programme that helps you foster long-term relationships with your customers/clients.
