About
Our mission is to support artists and small businesses by providing affordable coworking space, weekly events, monthly meet-ups, networking & promotion, artist markets and festivals. Some of our events include Open Mic Night, Song Circles, Drum Circles, Potlucks, Open jams, Art Exhibitions, Concerts and Festivals, and Workshops to help struggling artisans find success.
This OpenCollective functions as the non-profit arm of Rabbit Hole Studios - a community center, event space and coworking collective in Athens, GA. Because we do not sell alcohol, it has been very difficult to monetize our public events like other venues in town. We believe Athens needs a safe space for artists that is not reliant on alcohol sales, especially for people in recovery or those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. So for that reason, we are asking for assistance from our community so that we can continue to provide dozens of free events every month to benefit the creative class and empower creative entrepreneurs.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us reserve the space for non-profit purposes, keep the lights on and pay our team members a living wage to help host these events. All of your donations will be managed collectively and disbursed according to a democratic decision-making process to help us fund our events and pay team members. We are looking to be a vessel of charitable donations that are transparently dispersed through the artistic community.
