About

Resource, Event, Agent accounting (REA) provides a significant upgrade to economic planning and coordination, especially in multi-enterprise context. Valueflows provides a clear ontology and specification of REA of which a full implementation is a large undertaking.

Initial work on hREA (Holochain Resource-Event-Agent), an implementation of Valueflows specification using Holochain, began in October 2018. Much work has been done since but to hit a fully usable major milestone release still requires significant work. We have laid out a well-scoped Major Milestone Release (MMR) that will truly land this effort, which will allow groups to build their REA applications with hREA.

The first hREA MMR will establish a 100% usable API (v1.0). For a technical dive into the full hREA MMR scope, see here.
