About
- North Brooklyn Compost Project: We’ve processed nearly 150,000 pounds of compost, and continue to collect composting on Sundays! (For more, follow @nbkcompost + @bkscrapshuttle)
- Greenpoint Community Fridge and Cooper Park Fridge: Maintained entirely by volunteers, the Fridges have food for anyone who needs it — helping fight food insecurity and eliminate food waste in our community. (For more, follow @nbkfridges)
- Hygiene Kits: 500 kits a month are distributed to support our unhoused neighbors — every kit includes items like hand sanitizer, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, a mask, and more, along with a handwritten encouraging note. (For more, follow @nbkcarekits)
- Mccarren Demonstration Garden: Connecting our neighborhood to the local food movement by growing and harvesting over 800lbs of produce a year for our community free fridges. (For more, follow @mccarrendemogarden)
