About

Orcasound began as a hydrophone network for monitoring the habitat of the endangered Southern Resident killer whales. We've grown into an open source software and hardware community that is building ways to help recover these salmon-seeking killer whales, as well as other ocean species that make beautiful sounds. At the same time, we aim to share our solutions including open data, models, and applications to advance the field of bioacoustics.
