About
Kia ora,
Welcome to The Little Art
Welcome to The Little Art
Thank you for making it to this page, and we appreciate your intention to donate. My name is Shoaib, and it would be great to share my brief backstory with you.
I founded The Little Art in Pakistan in 2007, a non-profit that works for children and youth through arts. The organisation has directly engaged over 1,000,000 (One Million) children and youth through its projects.
For the past 15 years, I created and led some of the largest and finest arts education programs, festivals and exhibitions. The organisation runs the Lahore International Children's Film Festival in 6 cities, engages 20,000 children and youth to create art and showcase annually through its project ArtBeat and holds the Tamasha International Festival of Performing Arts focusing on children and youth. Last year, I also led the country's first digital arts festival organised at multiple venues.
The Little Art New Zealand is a registered charity, started when I was selected as an Edmund Hillary Fellow (EHF) and moved to Auckland.
For the past 2 years, we have been creating reEarth Studio, which aims to become a creative global movement to imagine a sustainable future through the power of creation with children and youth.
reEarth International Art Prize is the first project that we have launched. This initiative encourages young people to explore sustainability and climate change through creative expression, from photography, digital art and painting, on various themes. The idea is to curate a fine exhibition and then tour various cities, to spark meaningful conversations and inspire individual actions for planetary health.
The submission call for the inaugural reEarth International Art Prize is open now, and we aim to host exhibitions in Auckland and Venice in early 2025.
Your donation will enable us to pull off some awesome stuff.
- A game-changing, systematic way to engage children and youth in climate action
- Develop a digital community of next-generation climate creatives
- Host two art exhibitions in Auckland and Venice of selected paintings, photography and digital art
- Create an online art gallery of artworks
Also;
- Your donations may be tax deductible.
- Spending funds is completely transparent, thanks to Open Collective.
- We will share regular (and awesome) updates as we move on.
Alright, fantastic! - Donate if you like and walk with us for a bit and see if we can create the world's largest project that enables children and youth to build a sustainable future.
Best,
Shoaib and The Little Art and reEarth International Art Prize Team
