About

OpenIAP is an open standard and SDK ecosystem for consistent in-app purchases across app stores, native platforms, and application frameworks.

Our mission is to reduce fragmentation in purchase APIs so developers can build, test, and maintain subscriptions and one-time purchases with one shared mental model across Apple, Google Play, React Native, Expo, Flutter, Kotlin Multiplatform, Godot, and .NET MAUI.

What we maintain
- The OpenIAP specification: shared types, error codes, purchase flows, and verification patterns.
- Native platform packages for StoreKit and Google Play Billing.
- Framework SDKs, examples, documentation, and AI-friendly references for real app integration work.
- Compatibility work across app stores, billing SDK versions, and emerging purchase requirements.

Why support matters
OpenIAP grew from the long-running react-native-iap project and now supports a broader ecosystem. Sponsorship helps fund the practical maintenance work that users rarely see but depend on: release coordination, documentation, CI, examples, issue triage, compatibility testing, and keeping the shared API aligned across platforms.

Thank you to every sponsor, backer, and contributor helping make in-app purchases less fragmented for the whole community.
