CMS Makers was created to address the Maker-Taker imbalance in open-source communities by improving contributor recognition, incentives, and resource sharing, while promoting sustainability, resilience, and interoperability across platforms.
With members spanning leadership, key contributors, and supporting organizations across multiple ecosystems, CMS Makers is uniquely positioned to pool resources, share knowledge, and advance projects that foster a balanced contribution ecosystem.

Five for the Future
Five for the Future encourages organizations and individuals to contribute time, expertise, and financial support to sustain WordPress core development and community initiatives. Originally focused on in-kind contributions, the program is expanding to include broader participation, improved contributor recognition, funding transparency, and stronger engagement — all aimed at building a resilient, sustainable WordPress ecosystem.
